A unique program for supporting sustainable ecotourism activities for biodiversity conservation in protected areas (PAs) and development of visitor management programs in WADI DEGLA and PETRIFIED FOREST PAs, Egypt.

The EWBF, in collaboration with the GEF small program in Cairo, has implemented a promising project to support sustainable ecotourism activities for biodiversity conservation in protected areas (PAs) and development of visitor management programs in Wadi Degla and Petrified forest PAs.
The project was based on the development and implementation of innovative programs for sustainable eco-tourism that ensure the conservation of biological and geological diversity in the (Wadi Degla & Petrified forest) protected areas in Cairo Governorate.
The project was designed to plan and implement visitor management programs that improve and diversify funding resources for efficient management of biodiversity conservation and natural resources.
The project was able to successfully implement a set of important activities that helped improve the management of visitors in both protectorate and the preservation of their natural resources.
